Chose a journal you will enjoy writing in. Put it next to your bed with a pen within easy reach. Every morning, notice when you awaken, laying quietly and without opening your eyes. Ask yourself whether you had dream. Notice images, sensations or feelings that could have been part of a dream. Write or dictate (in case you decided to use your phone to record the dream) whatever you recall, however vague or precise. Write your dream in the present tense as though it is happening now.
If you have no dream recollection, journal any feelings, impressions or sensations you are experiencing. Date your journal entry.
Now you can go on with your day!

What is the spirit of place? The spirit of place is what enlivens and guides to exploration. It is a sense of needing to widen the space in which you move. The landscape is alive, animated. You want to look up to the sky, the clouds, the stars. The spirit of place is movement, quietness, curiosity, and safety. It is a movement towards and yet a presence in the here and now kindled by the physicality of the experience. The solidity of the earth beneath your feet and the vastness of the sky contain in quiet attention. When touched by the spirit of place you are at one and at ease being held by landscape and nature, feeling safely grounded, welcome to being here in this place, this geography, inner and outer, allowing a trusted authority from within.

If you are an analyst or therapist in training and would like to meet in Arizona, give me a call to find out when I am next available for consultation near Tucson.
Sunday May 28 1:00pm-2:30pm Dove Mountain, Tucson, Arizona. This is not therapy but a way to enrich your lives with the knowledge that the dreams you remember can impart. I will lead the participants in how to work with their own dreams. Please begin journaling your dreams by writing them down as soon as you awake and with all the detail that is remembered. Bring a copy to the workshop. We will not work with 'big' dreams. One way to stimulate dream recall is to notice impressions, physical sensations, and feelings at the moment of awakening and then journaling them. Call 503 699 1664 for exact location and questions.
